went to the beach at Sea Palling and Happisburgh! the breakwaters were really neat. I returned a sea star back to the water at low tide, there were quite a lot, a kid was going around collecting them in a bucket. what a cool guy! for lunch I had a baguette at the steps of the seawall, while watching british dudes playing football.

there were terns calling overhead, they were shriller than commons and I’m shaky on my uk species, haha. maybe I should’ve brought binoculars. especially since I... I missed a buff-breasted sandpiper at Happisburg. I really regret it! there were people looking out at the fields from the sandy cliff, and I should’ve stopped and asked what they had in the scope but I did not! dddddamnit.

… maybe I’ll see one some other time, but I’m still sad about it. I love their display!

the coastline of Happisburg is eroding away in sandy cliffs. houses have fallen in, people are worried about losing their history and buildings like their church to the sea... it’s sad, but at the same time it’s understandable that there’s only so much funding, and places of scientific interest and environmental importance like Sea Palling get more resources. it reminded me of Clover of Dover, too, which I’ve always thought was an amazing song.

happiness is buying cornish pasties on sale!... every time I kinda wonder if it’s supposed to be pastry, but it’s not, haha. I guess the ‘r’ is there for the sweet ones! like... suga‘r’ or something. I’m not even sure!



10-01-12.

worried because I still haven’t got a third module. I thought that I did but it turns out it clashes with my schedule after all! god damn it module change guys, you told me that it was fine BUT YOU LIED I CAN’T TRUST ANYONE EVER AGAIN.

… haha, no but seriously, I’m pretty worried. a lot of the awesome classes are full! this is really not my fault in my opinion! I have to get things fixed soon, bluuuh bluh bluh oh man. WORRIED.

the market in the rain is pretty nice and cute. it’s... weirdly awkward to take pics, though, so I didn’t. man, I’ll probably have a shortage. sometimes, photos just aren’t enough.
